  • Don’t extend deadlines post dates early so pledges and excomm can plan accordingly ( -2% for all deadlines missed without communicating )
  • Involve them in the special event that is going on
  • Pins all the time ( deduction for your counsel groups points)
  • Make them raise $750 and whatever extra they make will be used for their class
    • Basic (Service, IC, Fundraising, Fellowship,PR,) : $100
    • basic + service project: $300
  • Rush workshop for bigs
  • Talk to actives and excomm in the summer about how they should act pledges will reflect how they act
  • Pledge Public Relations (.....pledge bond between another org…..ACTIVE PR WILL HELP! ) - make a or event
  • Pledges get reimbursements for their events
Emphasize that you are here and should give back and be able to juggle everything you don’t have to be here
  • Remind kids about new member symposium and launch
  • 100 % everything no written final
  • Most effective group size is 10-15 individuals
  • Tree not counted against them
  • Make a goofy video so they can get to know us ( all of excomm intro) - MTV welcome to my crib theme ( released every week)
  • Make bigs go to 75% pledge events
  • Pbro Interviews ( TBD)
    • Make them interview their counsel group first to create a bond between the group
  • You need to spend this valuable time teaching the candidates how to recruit, how to throw a social function, how the risk management program works, how to put together a community service event and other critical fraternity functions.  It is especially important to teach them these skills as candidates because they will be the most captive audience during this time.
  • Google form- Have an open forum where pledges can send their concerns to pledge parent and counselors so they can voice their opinions and during pledge parent slides we would have a section where we would voice them
  • Have counsel challenges run till the semester ends
    • Have a competition between all the counselors and have a prize at the end  
  • Have visualization exercises at the end of pledge meetings
  • Violations of dry pledging will result in -4% on their final
  • Have the Pledge Class positions have to rally people to go to the excomm positions events as well as make events ( president would work with membership to encourage people to do family challenges)  
  • Spend each week going over each point of the scout law one week would focus on trustworthy, loyal, helpful etc.
